RetroDash ("the App") is developed by RetroDash contributors. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data. The short version: we collect virtually nothing.

Data We Collect

RetroDash is designed to operate entirely on your local network. The App:

Does not collect personal information, analytics, or telemetry
Does not use third-party tracking services, ad networks, or data brokers
Does not transmit any data to external servers
Does not require an account, login, or registration

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores configuration data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This includes:

Server connection URLs (your homelab addresses)
Display preferences (theme, quality, language)
Kiosk mode settings
Battery charging thresholds

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Network Communication

RetroDash communicates only with the Bridge Server you configure, on your local network. All connections are initiated by the App to IP addresses or hostnames you provide. The App does not connect to any external services, cloud servers, or APIs operated by RetroDash developers.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking. If you install the App via Google Play, Google may collect standard distribution-related data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

RetroDash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, as we do not collect data from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly — we recommend checking this page periodically.
